Dear Mr Riddle,
I am not going to pretend that this is an easy letter to write - because it isn't. I've had an ample amount of time to think about what happened and what I did to you that night; and after much consideration, I've decided that I would, in fact, appreciate the opportunity to speak with you face to face. As I've been Bound by the Bar, I can easily be reached for a meeting.
I cannot promise I'll be particularly agreeable company but I can promise that I will listen to you with an open mind.
